Superior Dentures for a Confident Smile Serving Central Coast and Surrounding Areas

Full Denture

A full denture is a removable appliance that replaces all the natural teeth in your entire upper or lower jaw. Full denture is generally made with an acrylic base, but for patients prone to breaking dentures, a chrome framework may be recommended to add extra strength. Dentures can help you chew and speak more effectively and boost your confidence by improving your appearance. The denture teeth come in different shapes, sizes, and colours so that the dentures can be made as individual as you are.

Partial dentures- Acrylic Base or Cobalt Chrome

Partial dentures are used when you are only missing some of your natural teeth on your upper or lower mouth. Partial dentures are made to fit in with your natural teeth, matching the size and colour. Our dentures are crafted to fit your mouth and will restore your ability to chew and speak naturally. Our lower and partial upper dentures fit with such as and so naturally that you may not notice you have them at all!

Partial Dentures can be made from acrylic or chrome bases. Chrome is the most common option. It's stronger, thinner on the pallet and less prone to breaks. In our experience, patients with chrome dentures settle into the new appliance much faster, making them ideal for new denture wearers.

Your dental prosthetist will determine the type of partial dentures best suit you. They will consider the remaining natural teeth, their position in your mouth, and their level of stability. Ultimately, your best options will be based on your needs and budget. Our dental prosthetist will guide you through the process.

Implant Retained Dentures

An implant-retained denture is fully stabilised on two or more dental implants. Like a full denture, it's removable, but instead of relying on suction to stay in place, it clips on and off special abutments that connect to dental implants. Implant-retained dentures are manufactured to remain firmly in place while you chew, drink, and speak, so you don't have to worry about your dentures becoming loose or dislodging during day-to-day use. One of the beneficial aspects of these dentures is that they can be removed for cleaning and maintenance, allowing you to ensure your implant dentures are kept in good condition for as long as possible. Our team will work with your dental surgeon to make the denture fit over the implants.

Immediate

  • Immediate dentures are full or partial dentures used to replace your extracted teeth. Immediate dentures fit your mouth straight after teeth extraction, ensuring you have something to replace your missing teeth before leaving the dentist’s or dental specialist’s office. Immediate dentures do a great job filling in the gap of missing teeth, helping you feel more comfortable after getting your teeth extracted.

  •  Immediate dentures can help minimise bleeding gums after tooth extraction and promote the healing of your gums.

  • The process for immediate dentures starts with taking impressions of your mouth while your natural teeth are still present. Our dental prosthetist will then fabricate a denture in the likeness of your teeth and make any necessary modifications you want. Once your natural teeth are extracted, the dentist or dental specialist will insert your immediate dentures so you’ll have a replacement filling in the gap immediately.
  • As the swelling reduces after teeth extraction, your gums will shrink, and your dentures will become loose. This is when we would recommend a temporary liner. A temporary liner tightens up the denture again, helping it fit better in your mouth as your gums continue to heal and change in size. It is a temporary measure that works until we reach a stage where we feel a more permanent option is appropriate. You may need 3 to 5 temporary liners per denture over the first 2-9 months.

  • Once we’re confident that most of the shrinkage has occurred, our dental prosthetist will let you know it is time for you to have a permanent denture reline.

  • We will work with your dental professional/surgeon to provide the best outcome.
